I can't imagine. I know I'm exhausted and I get a little reprieve now and then. Maybe you can look into respite care? I have trust issues myself (with no real good reason).
Are you sending him to a private school? I don't see any reason for the public schools to legally not "accept" him. They should be on it! You shouldn't have to wait more than a few days for them to make arrangements for him. Maybe his not school aged yet? Good luck with them getting him placed and serviced soon! Time is precious!

He is 3 1/2 and there is the early intervention program but he isn't in their system so he needs evaluations ( which we did) and than it is waiting for their conclusion and if he is accepted blah blah which is a three week wait. I have no doubt he meets the criteria he is totally non verbal but the wait is killer especially since the others are out to school
I'm not so sure about leaving him with a baby-sitter. Most here are teens and he being non verbal and has issues when he gets upset (head banger and he is known to bite lol) I'm not that comfortable leaving him in that situation. Older women usually have their own kids and since he does bite when annoyed I know what to watch for someone else wouldn't since we are close to breaking him of that I don't want a set back.
So I'll just have to wait for school and pray I don't loose my mind in the meantime.
