Mathematics, University of Toronto

The Department of Mathematics, University of Toronto invites applications for a tenure-stream appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor, with an expected start date of July 1, 2012. Candidates with research expertise in any area of Mathematics (with a preference for applied mathematics) may apply. The successful candidate will be expected to participate actively in the teaching and research activities of the Department of Mathematics.

Candidates should have a Ph.D. in mathematics or a related field and demonstrate excellence in innovative research at the highest level, and a commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching. The University of Toronto is an international leader in mathematics research and education and enjoys strong ties to other units within the University. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
