Texas Association Against Sexual Assault

Dear TAASA Members,
The Texas Association Against Sexual Assault (TAASA) Board is issuing a call for nominations for the 2012 Board of Directors. The TAASA Board seeks to have a board that reflects the membership of the association and its dedication to the mission and purpose of TAASA.

Each year a slate of candidates is prepared by the Nominating Committee of the Board according to the terms ending of current board members and/or the current board election rotation. This year the Nominating Committee of the Board will present a slate of candidates for the following positions:

President-Elect
Requirement: A minimum 24 months current service on the TAASA Board of Directors and Current TAASA Individual or Organizational Membership

Treasurer
Requirement: A minimum 12 months current service on the TAASA Board of Directors and Current TAASA Individual or Organizational Membership

Region A, D, and E Representatives
Requirement: Current TAASA Individual or Organizational Membership for a minimum of 2 years

Four At Large Positions
Requirement: Current TAASA Organizational Membership, Individual Membership, or Supporter Membership

Please keep in mind that some positions open for election may have incumbents who will be able to serve another term if elected. To run for a board positions please see the attached information and/or seek out the information on the TAASA website. Board Nomination Forms are due September 16, 2011. Ballots for voting will be sent out in October 2011 and terms for new board members will start in February/March 2012 at the TAASA annual conference.
