Winter Park, FL (PRWEB) October 30, 2008

Full Sail University (http://www.fullsail.edu ), welcomed Full Sail graduate and eleven-time GRAMMY? winning Producer/Engineer (including the Latin GRAMMY? ?Producer of the Year? in 2007), Sebastian Krys, back to its Winter Park, FL campus. The campus offered the background location for a professional music video shoot featuring the Jacob Jeffries Band (http://www.jacobjeffriesband.com ), and Krys also dedicated his first Latin GRAMMY? Award as a producer to Full Sail in honor of his Recording Arts education.

Krys, Emmy Award winner Dan Warner, and Melanie Masterson served as the producers for The Jacob Jeffries Band collection of music, and fellow Full Sail Film Graduate, Carl Verna served as the director on this music video project. Verna has worked with other artists such as Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige and Sheryl Crow. To begin the shoot, Krys, dedicated his GRAMMY? Award to Full Sail University in hopes that it would be displayed as a symbol of his recording career which began 17 years ago on this very campus.

?I chose Full Sail as the location for this project because of its continued reputation as one of the premiere media arts universities in the world,? said Krys. ?The renowned recording facilities, Film Backlot environment, and student and staff talent is incomparable. My goal when I attended Full Sail was to make a living as a producer. I found it a fitting way to pay tribute to the staff and the administration, and to ask the school to display this GRAMMY? here on campus, along with the many other accomplishments of my peers that have gone through Full Sail University.?

The shoot took place on Saturday, October 18 on Full Sail University?s Film Backlot. It was the third recording for the band, however their first in a live DVD format recorded, produced and filmed entirely by Full Sail University. The more than 100 crew members included students and staff from the Film, Recording Arts and Show Production & Touring Degree Programs, and the shoot also featured a crowd of Jacob Jeffries Band fans from throughout the state of Florida.

The Jacob Jeffries Band is the 2008 Florida GRAMMY? Showcase Winning Band and have performed at this year?s NAMM Conference in Anaheim, CA, the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, UT, and in Austin, TX for the SXSW (South by Southwest) festival. Jacob released his debut CD, ?Life As An Extra? in March 2008, followed shortly thereafter by the EP, ?Wonderful.?

?Hearing Sebastian?s belief in Full Sail and how this University made a difference in the scope and life of his career makes us incredibly proud,? said President of Full Sail, Garry Jones. ?Dedicating his GRAMMY? Award is symbolic of a dream that came true for someone we hold dear, and we are honored to serve as a witness to his accomplishments and share in his moment.?

Alumni Director Jay Noble further added, ?Working with Sebastian and the Jacob Jeffries Band on this project has been an amazing experience for Full Sail students and staff. To have a graduate return to campus and inspire the students who are now following in his footsteps, is a remarkable thing to watch.?
