On "New York Ink," (Thurs., 9 p.m. EST on TLC) Ami James spends most of his time doing tattoos and dealing with the drama of the Wooster Street Social Club.
But in an exclusive preview from tonight's episode, James travels back to Miami to pay a visit to his old tattoo shop, Love/Hate and to spend some quality time with his three-year-old daughter Shayli.
"When you have a kid it changes your whole life. You don't care about hardships you might go through as long as your kid's happy and safe," James reflects. "It's the greatest gift in the world."
James' "Shayli day" included a lunch outing, a trip to the zoo, some ice cream and a lot of adorable father-daughter moments. The episode showcases a softer side of James' personality that he doesn't usually put on display on "NY Ink."
But while James is away, the gang at the tattoo shop will play. With Tim Hendrix, who's far more laid-back than James, left in charge, Megan Massacre and Jessica get into some mischief back in New York.
