Twitter, on one hand, has been taken in a whirlwind of messages relating to the topic and the event is trending in most places.

On a worldwide level, the #royalbaby takes up fourth place in the interest expressed on the microblogging platform.

Twitter users from the United States are equally eager for the new addition to the young royal family. The United States trending list includes #royalbaby on the first position, quickly followed by an interest in ?Princess Kate.?

In the United Kingdom, on the other hand, the number one trending topic is #royalbabynames, since everyone is eager to find out the name of the first child of Catherine and William. ?Kate Middleton? ranks fourth on the same list.

Australia is just as interested in the subject, the future mother?s name being the top trending topic on for local users.
